Eddy Current Inspection (PCN) – Initial Examination

If your current ET PCN Level 2 qualification has expired by more than 10 months after the expiry, you have reached the right page!

If your PCN qualification has expired by more than 10 months after the expiry then you will be required to complete a PCN Initial Examination. 

Pre-Requisites

Holds a previous ET Qualification (in applicable level/scheme you are applying for).

Interested in Refresher Training?

INTERESTED IN REFRESHER TRAINING?

We find that candidates who book at least a half or 1 day of refresher training prior to their examination feel more confident in attempting the renewal examination.

Whats included in refresher training?

By booking in refresher training, the student will receive a refresher on elements that may be covered in the examination. This may include theory, written instruction or practical samples. With guidance of our NDT Trainers students can choose to refresher using mock theory papers, mock written instruction assessments or be set up with practical samples to test and report on using technical instruction. Students will be provided with a brief summary on their performance prior to the student sitting the examination.

Please note: Refresher Training is not a one-to-one basis. The Students refresher training elements (e.g. theory papers, samples etc.) will be initially be set up by the NDT Trainer who will be available to answer any questions between their respective duties.

Exam Content

This PCN recertification examination may consist of the following elements as per BINDT PCN GEN Appendix C3A requirements:

  • General Theory Paper
  • Specific Theory Paper
  • Prelims
  • Written instruction
  • 3 practical samples (weld samples)

**If the candidate(s) is not familiar with the ET Sets supplied by Array Training (Phasec 3) and would benefit from a refresher on setting up this equipment, please book in for half day or full day training.

Duration

The duration for this examination will be approx. 1-1.5 Days.

All exam costs include the PCN Certification Admin Fee and PED Admin Fee.
